Despite ranking 97 out of 156 countries on this years World Happiness Report, the people of Bhutan are dreamers. They hold tight to the myths and religions that form their identity, making their sense of community strong. Their lives are centred around happiness: Both of the individual and of the nation.

Russia’s smaller cities are torn between their Soviet history and the eschewing period of transition: Voronezh is archetype of this conflict. In Moscow and St Petersburg the transition from the Soviet Union may seem complete. In the provinces, and in the mind, it is a work in progress.
